Trendy Tot Thursday (29/01/2015)

Hello and welcome to a bit of a chilly Trendy Tot Thursday this week. I am still waiting/hoping for snow in London, but I know lots of you have already seen the white stuff this week. Have you been having fun building snow men and snow angels, or do you stay inside and wish spring would hurry up?!

This week I have an absolutely amazing outfit for Biscuit, who was quite happy to show you all of it. Unfortunately Cracker has been a little more camera shy so my photos don’t show you his lovely outfit as well as I hoped. Please forgive me, people always say not to work with children 🙂

Biscuit is wearing a gorgeous, handmade dress from Princess and the Frock in a limited edition penguin print. If you follow these lovely people on Facebook (here) and Twitter (here) then you will be party to limited edition fabric they get in in small batches. I was lucky to be in Facebook when they asked who would like a dress in the penguin fabric and snapped it up! Their dresses are extremely well made, lined (this dress has a dark blue lining, which you can just see in the photo) and high on the cuteness scale, what more could you ask for? What other tights could go so perfectly with this dress other than these penguin-print Slugs and Snails tights? It’s like they were made to go together! It was too cold to have bare arms on the day Biscuit wore it, so I teamed the outfit with a plain white long-sleeved t-shirt. I can only apologise that she’s not sitting in a more lady-like fashion, she obviously wanted to show you as much of the tights as possible!!

Camera-shy Cracker is wearing a lovely two-piece set from Primark consisting of a soft, dark blue denim shirt and blue and white striped t-shirt worn underneath. Cracker is a very active boy and he gets very hot when he’s been tearing around, so layers are good for him. He was also wearing, even though you can’t see them in the photo, a pair of dark blue jogging bottoms from Marks and Spencer. They are a lovely thick material and cope with his running, jumping and climbing around, as boys do!

Trendy Tot Thursday (22/01/2015)

Hello from a bit of a rain-swept Italy. We travelled to Livorno on Saturday to stay with Rob’s mum and sister (more about travelling with twin toddlers coming soon) and are spending a week relaxing after the end of my degree.

Packing for Biscuit and Cracker is a lot harder than I find packing for myself, I don’t like the thought of leaving any of their clothes at home in case they need them. I packed many of Biscuit’s gorgeous dresses and a whole pile of Slugs and Snails tights for the week and Cracker had lots of t-shirts and trousers.

I have already mentioned in last week’s Trendy Tot Thursday that Biscuit spent Christmas Day as Anna from Frozen, complete with a gold hat! We teamed it with Storm Slugs, which looked really cool.

Well she wore that simple, but lovely dress again at her Nonna’s house.

IMG_1931.JPG This time we teamed that dress, which is from Primark’s Frozen collection, with Hoot Slugs. I probably wouldn’t have put that pattern with the dress, but Biscuit wanted to wear them and, I think, she pulls it off. I like this dress as it is not “dressing up” per say (as in, it’s not a fancy dress outfit) but it is obviously Frozen and, as such, will make your little Frozen fan happy. They also do an Elsa version too.

Cracker, not to be left out of the Frozen fashion, is wearing an Olaf t-shirt (also from Primark’s Frozen collection.

IMG_1932.JPGAs it was a little chilly we teamed it with a grey long-sleeved t-shirt from Gap. He is also wearing blue combat trousers, also from Primark. These are really good as they are lined so they are warmer and are very hard-wearing. It is not as easy finding Frozen fashion for boys, even though they love it just as much as the girls, but I like this t-shirt and, more importantly, so does Cracker.

Being from Primark means that I am happy for them to run around and be toddlers in them, they wash really easily and buying them won’t break the bank.

Trendy Tot Thursday (15/01/2015)

Welcome to this weeks Trendy Tot Thursday, where I get to show off my beautiful twinkles and their lovely clothes.

I am always on the hunt for co-ordinating clothes for Biscuit and Cracker (for example on Christmas Day Biscuit was in an Ana from Frozen dress and Cracker wore an Olaf t-shirt), but it is tricky. So, imagine my sheer delight when I looked on Zulily and found matching outfit for them from Mushi Clothing.

The twins’ outfits both have the same lovely grey trousers with star print. They are made of thick, cosy material, which is so soft inside and keeps them warm. They are cut in a way that they are easy to move around in. My only gripe is that they are cut quite small so Biscuit and Cracker won’t get as much wear out of them as I was hoping.

The t-shirts both declare that they are ‘Rock Stars’ with different designs on for the boy/girl versions, which I think look really cute together. The t-shirts have a real quality feel to them as they are nice and thick fabric.

Biscuit and Cracker very rarely will sit and pose for me, especially together, but they were more than happy to sit there and show all of you their fab outfits!

Trendy Tot Thursday (08/01/2015)

Happy New Year to you, my lovely readers. I hope you all had a lovely holiday and a peaceful start to the new year. Wow, it’s 2015 already. I know it’s a clichĂ©, but how fast did last year go?! I managed to squeeze in a degree and a change of career, no wonder it was a full on year.

Now, back to matters at hand- our first Trendy Tot Thursday of the year. I have brought a bit of a compilation of outfits from the last few weeks, since you last heard from me.

Now, there can be no denying that it is well and truly onesie weather. It has been a bit wet, miserable, windy and chilly and Biscuit and Cracker are here to show you how they kept nice and warm.

IMG_1916.JPG
Firstly, here they are in gorgeous fleecy onesies from M & Co. We don’t have a store near us, but we visited the one near my parents on Boxing Day and found these as bargains in their sale. They are lovely and baggy as I got the next size up for them and, as we have found all M & Co products they own, very good quality for a very reasonable price. For boy/girl twins (or siblings) I like the fact that the pattern is the same on both onesies, but that the colour is different. Yes, Biscuit’s is a bit garish pink but the burgundy on Cracker’s one is a nice change for him.

Next up are these absolutely beautiful fleecy onesies from Monsoon. I didn’t even realise that they did boys clothing, but my mum found these items and I adore them. The fleece is really thick and superb quality and the patterns are gorgeous. I particularly love the flowers on Biscuit’s one. They are exactly the same age range as the M & Co ones (3-4 years) but are a good 3-4 inches shorter. I couldn’t believe the difference in the size, it was only when I hung them up next to each other that it really shocked me. So, unfortunately, we probably won’t get as much wear out of our Monsoon ones.

Finally we have Biscuit’s cotton pawprint onesie from T K Maxx. Cracker gets hot running around full speed all the time (boys; they’re either running around or fast asleep) but Biscuit can get chilly so I got her this to keep warm in the house. I was dubious about the pattern when I bought it, but I actually think it looks super cute on her and she loves it- what more can I ask for?!
